Pesticide-Free and Organic Wheat Purchased from Haenam, Jindo, and Gwangju, Jeollanam-do
Nenia has successfully completed its 2025 Korean wheat procurement.
As in previous years, the company partnered with eco-friendly wheat farms across the country, purchasing pesticide-free and organic wheat harvested in Haenam, Jindo, and Gwangju in Jeollanam-do.

This year’s purchased varieties include Geumgang, Baekgang, and Hwanggeumal wheats — all of which possess distinct processing characteristics suited for various products such as dumplings, cookies, and udon noodles. The harvested wheat is stored safely in cold storage facilities without fumigation or chemical treatment.
Although the contracted cultivation volume was 400 tons, heavy rains during the harvest season and the effects of climate warming led to significantly reduced yields for some farms. Additionally, some of the harvested wheat did not meet Nenia’s strict quality standards and was excluded from the purchase, resulting in an actual procurement total of about 50% of the contracted amount.
Nenia maintains rigorous standards for the wheat used in its products. Each batch undergoes visual inspection, moisture measurement, and NIR (Near-Infrared Spectroscopy) analysis to verify ash and protein content. Only wheat that passes these checks is used as a raw ingredient in Nenia’s food products.
“From the hands that sow the seeds to the meals on the table — Nenia continues its heartfelt commitment together with local farmers.”
